OUR STORY

Built over a coffee.
Worn everywhere else.

Two AFL footballers who couldn't find gear that felt right off the field — so they made it themselves. Athleisure designed for the life you're actually living.

THE ORIGIN

DRYP started the way most good things do — over a coffee between two mates with a shared frustration. Jayden Laverde and Zach Merrett, both AFL footballers, couldn't find athleisure that genuinely lived up to the name.

They wanted something they could wear straight from training to a café without thinking twice. Pieces that looked good enough to dress up, felt good enough to work out in, and that women actually wanted to wear too — to pilates, after pilates, or just because they felt that good on.

No fashion background. No rulebook. Just a clear idea of what they wanted to exist in the world, and the drive to make it happen. That same mindset runs through everything DRYP puts out.

Most Improved

Drafted by Essendon with pick 20 in the 2014 national draft, Jayden Laverde spent eleven seasons at the Bombers before joining GWS Giants. Originally a forward, Jayden reinvented himself as a key defender — winning Essendon's Most Improved Player award in 2021 and the Adam Ramanauskas Most Courageous Player award. His career has been defined by adaptability and resilience, the same qualities he brought to building DRYP from the ground up.

All-Australian

One of the AFL's premier midfielders, Zach Merrett has spent his entire career at Essendon since being drafted with pick 26 in 2013. A six-time Crichton Medallist, three-time All-Australian, former club captain, and Anzac Medal winner, Zach is widely regarded as one of the greatest Bombers of the modern era. Off the field he's built a business mindset to match — DRYP is the brand he and Jayden always wanted to exist, so they stopped waiting and built it.
